Big Brain Size Makes You Innovative

When I used to live at my parents', I always heard the same statement : Won't you decide to weight normal ?. Normal for them means fat. Because in some countries, you have to be somehow fat to be socially accepted. But I always replied back: Have you ever seen a fat person, being smart at the same time ? (With all due respect and without generalizing, even some skinny people are dump)

The problem with my weight is that, by the time I was 14, I had to follow a very strict diet, no sugar, no fat, no mayo... I must admit that it was a nightmare to deprive myself from sweet and fast food, since they taste so much better... .Four years later, I discovered that this problem was a bless.

As a matter of fact, when you have fat in your blood, you are subject to heart issues. No body mentioned that your brain is receiving fat too !!! which means that when your brain has fat, it doesn't perform like a brain without fat, blood doesn't run as fast !!! See the difference ?

You are unable to think as fast and efficient as low-weighted people. Recent research* proved that the fatter your body is, the smaller your brain gets. If you want to be innovative, smart and good decision maker, beware of what you eat, and how you eat it.

Your brain is the most important machine in your body. It needs to be taken care of. And as a complex organ, put in it this quote: "You are the same today you’ll be in five years except for two things: the people you meet and the books you read"

6 Ways into Taking the Best out of Your Abilities

We are not equal, but each one of us can distinguish themself by educating their brain into becoming better.

Here you will find a few advices to take the best out of your abilities.

1) Eat high quality food:
Pay attention to what you put into your body. Make sure to choose natural  meals and take your time to shew as much as possible. The Japanese made up a meal called Camu Camu 30 (shew 30 times) because it helps stimulate the 5 senses, resulting in higher brain abilities. Having lots of fruits and water will assure you a longer youth.

2) Exercise regularly:
It's the best way to balance between your brain and your body. Every regular low-intensity physical activity increases energy, improves mental performance and enhance your ability to focus. Go for a walk or run, do a bit of yoga can bring you more energy to stay efficient the whole day long. Think of breathing accordingly during any exercise.

3) Sleep long enough:
Because no matter how adult you have become, you need 7 to 8 hours sleep to finally consolidate your mental simulation. Set an alarm to remind yourself to go to bed with enough time before retiring from other activities. Going to bed early is very useful for creative workers. It's vital to keeping your mood up and dealing with stress.

4) Have a siesta:
Do not wonder why many firms adopted la siesta in their daily calendar. After every lunch time, take a 20 min break in order to digest efficiently without affecting your effectiveness. Since your brain is at its lowest during this moment of the day, it deserves its break. It will certainly thank you in return.

5) Get enough sun:
We are like flowers. When we have enough sun, we are happily starting the day with a lot of dedication. I don't know if this is the case of everybody, but sunlight helps set your circulation rhythm, which affects your sleeping patterns and systematically you mood. Use a light therapy device to get the same effect during winter times.

6) Feed your brain: "You are what you eat". No need to make a demonstration on how they act, the red (raspberries, strawberries and blablaberries) and dry  fruits, spices, dark chocolate and fish have proven themselves to enhance your brain activities and improve your memory. Mother nature has a heaven for us for whoever wants to be a better person!

Your energy, your mind, and your body, are your bank account you use in order to create assets. This little user guide can be your best friend.

Being Messy is a Proof of Efficiency

They may be pointed out as the kings of procrastination, but these messy people say they have no time and prefer to do other useful things instead of tiding up behind them.

In a recent research, Eric Abrahamson from Colombia University states that messy workers are more productive than the others. They have proven themself  to be more creative and great team workers. Besides, they lose less time sorting, classifying and packing their stuff back. Which makes them gain 36% more time compared to other workers.

3 American Trends that Work, for Selling More

Consumers increasingly need fluidity, transparency and simplicity. It's becoming more and more easy for them to investigate before making an action.

Here are 3 working american trends for increasing sales and attracting more buying customers.

 1- Recession Shopping

eBay proved it, hand me down stuff are sold pretty well, so businesses got inspired from this P2P sales to develop customer loyalty. These customers want more while continuously seeking bargains.

Without discounts, you can offer this recession opportunity in exchange of cash vouchers for example. This is already usual with mobile trading, some websites like are building a huge popularity thanks to this business.

And it seems to be working just so fine with other materials.

2- Fair Business

Marring business and social, that's totally possible!

The B1G1 (Buy One Give One) concept - like a few others, make a difference by making the customer impact positively on others' lives. A consumer can have a cup of coffee while giving access to water to a child.

A small action like this can make big changes around the world.

3- Social Gaming

Online games are gaining popularity since this method has always proved it's value within various ways, like the "Win a Car Competitions". Most of them offer the possibility of customizing a dream car with all the features that can or cannot exist.

It just makes the customers eager to buy this car even if this competition is obviously a crap.

Four Golden Rules into Running an Efficient Meeting

Big business is traditionally slow business.

So KISS, Keep It Short and Simple. Either it concerns a 10000 person company or a 10001 one, do it like a hungry start-up if you care much about the efficiency.

Rule #1
There should be one decision maker. If that person is missing or even the decision itself, then why bother for a meeting?!

Rule #2
Do not Exceed 10 attendees. More than which people will come to check their personal emails or to enjoy a siesta...

Rule #3
Every attendee should contribute to the meeting. Otherwise, they are useless!

Rule #4
No decision should ever wait for a meeting. If that meeting has to happen for the decision in question, then it should be scheduled immediately!

These rules sound like common sense, but they often disappear as companies get large and people call meetings more for political or ego-boosting reasons than to actually get anything done.

The Five Pillars of a Thriving Business

"A business is a repeatable process that makes money. Everything else is a hobby"
-Paul Freet, serial entrepreneur and commercialization expert.

Well, to develop this quote, a business:
1- Creates and delivers something of value,
2- That other people want or need,
3- At a price they're willing to pay,
4- In a way that satisfies the customer's needs and expectations,
5- So that the business brings in enough profit to make it worthwhile for the owners to continue operation.

It doesn't matter if you're running a solo venture or a billion-dollar brand. Take any of these five factors away, and you don't have a business, you have something else. A venture that doesn't create value for others is a hobby. A venture that doesn't attract attention is a flop. A venture that doesn't deliver what it promises is a scam. A venture that doesn't bring in enough money to keep operating will be inevitably shut.

At the core, every business is fundamentally a collection of five interdependent processes, furtherly discussed in The Personal MBA book, each of which flows into the next:
1- Value Creation,
2- Marketing,
3- Sales,
4- Value Delivery,
5- Finance.

Whenever it comes to teamwork, flexibility, agility, strength of the network, better be at the office. In fact, the richest innovations are born in cascade of ideas from each others in meetings and hallways. It also happens that mini groups of people from different departments make brainstorming, or are already working on an idea that interests them... without any instruction.
